WordPress engineering, site migrations, React interfaces, and open-source contributions.

Highlights
  • Engineered a real-time synchronization plugin to propagate changes between sites and automated release workflows with GitHub Actions for two client deployments.
  • Resolved application compatibility issues and standardized database migration procedures, supporting the consolidation of 32 sites and migration of 1.6 TB of media.
  • Built reusable React components for visual page editing, simplifying content creation for nontechnical users and supporting a launch with a 91.1% accessibility score and passing Core Web Vitals.
  • Delivered open-source contributions to WordPress Core, Gutenberg, and WooCommerce through 15+ merged pull requests.

Stripe payment flows, automated testing, and debugging a Node.js platform.

Highlights
  • Implemented surcharge handling in Stripe payment flows, enabling the business to pass processing fees to customers and recover costs previously absorbed on transactions.
  • Led a unit testing pod to expand automated test coverage for a targeted module from 45% to 95% in under one week, closing a 50-percentage-point coverage gap.
  • Investigated application defects, traced root causes, and implemented fixes across a Node.js platform using MongoDB for data storage and Redis and BullMQ for background processing.
